People of ancient times believed in the magical powers of the gemstones. They would use them in their daily lives as protection, for insight and answers, to cast spells, to attract love and other energies that would aid them in reaching their goals. They would wear them as talismans, carry or hold them.
Different crystals and gemstones are assigned to the Astrological Signs and are representative of their positive attributes. The gemstones associated with your astrological sign are said to contain more power and influence therefore the positive energies inherent in these stone are strengthened.
There have been many modifications within the realm of Astrology over the centuries, so there is no definite authority as to which gemstone is connected to which sign.
